The recent leak of a secret conversation/deal between Hun Sen and Kem
Sokha has the effect of a bomb on Cambodia’s political landscape.
The recorded conversation took place on 25 July 2007, meaning just
three days after the creation of Kem Sokha’s Human Rights Party (HPR).
(ខ្មែរ) Following my recent judicial victory over former Khmer Rouge prison director and current foreign minister Hor Nam Hong before the French court, I decide to initiate, reactivate or accelerate new and ongoing criminal lawsuits in democratic countries with independent courts against Cambodia’s current prime minister Hun Sen.
Ar the meeting Son Chhay and Officer Daniel Chu discussed the current political situation in Cambodia and the implementation of US support for Cambodia in the area of improving the Election Process, the Free Media and Strengthening the opposition party.
Here is the official document showing that the French Supreme Court(Cour de Cassation) on April 27, 2011 overturned a previous judicialdecision in favor of Mr. Hor Namhong (Cour d’Appel de Paris, May 20,2010).
